Tubin' the Hooch

Last Sunday we went up to Helen, GA (about 1 1/2 hour drive) and went tubing down the Chattahoochee River. I would say that it was a lot of fun but for most of the hour and a half, I had a crying 2 yr old on my lap. Mackenzie was okay at first; she seemed to have fun in the beginning, she was even in her own tube. But the river was low so there were a lot of rocks sticking out and you would hit them once in awhile. That is what ended up scaring her. Madison had a blast though. We have pictures but they're from a disposable waterproof camera so I don't have them right now.

That looks like so much fun. When the boys are a little older we're gonna have to go to the Saco and tie all our tubes together and do the same thing! We've seen people tubing down our river here in town before, but it's the same deal... even when the water is high, it's still shallow and rocky in some parts. I'm afraid though that instead of crying when sharp rocks were hitting and scraping their butts that my boys would be TRYING to hit as many rocks as possible and trying to pop the tubes! :-) Can't wait to see more pics; the waterproof disposible camera was a great idea, too.
