Smarty Pants

Driving home from the bookstore last night right before bedtime (and without naps during the day), this was the conversation in the car:

me: "Oh, Maddy. I cannot wait til school starts!"

Maddy: "Why Mommy?"

me: "Why do you think I want school to start Maddy?"

Maddy: "So you can have time for yourself?"

me (uh-oh, busted): "You got it babe!"

It's amazing what they pick up, isn't it?
