This was my afternoon yesterday...
I picked up Maddy from school at 2:30. She had a dentist appointment at 2:45. On the way there, I got caught in a speed trap. I got a ticket for going (too fast obviously) in a school zone while lights were flashing (I honestly didn't even know I was going through a school zone). Oh yeah, and the speed trap was about 50 yards, maybe less, from the 45 mph speed limit sign - grrrrr. The officer says the lights flash til 2:50 pm. IT WAS 2:44 PM - just my luck! And did I mention this was my first ticket EVER! I MEAN EVER!
So we get to the dentist late. The hygenist's next appointment was in 15 minutes. Maddy would NOT open her mouth for her to "count and tickle" her teeth. We tried everything. I even bribed her, saying she could pick out a special toy from the store. THAT didn't even work. So we reschedule for next Wednesday in the hopes that Daddy can get her to do it, seeing as he is the one who took her the first time and everything went smoothly.
Then almost home, we are waiting to turn left at the red light (red arrow) at the corner of Putnam Ford and Eagle. After a minute or so, I see the cars on my right start to take off. So what do I do? I go too. Halfway through I realize, "Oh crap! What am I doing?!" I just turned left on a red arrow in the middle of a crazy, busy interesction. Aye aye aye. Lucky for me and Maddy no one was coming toward us.
Oh yeah, one more thing... I slipped in the shower (while cleaning it) and my hip still hurts.
I've fallen and I can't get up. (from a LifeCall commercial back in 1987)
Can I have my brain back please?
Wrapping up.
