Ok, so this morning I had an appointment that I had to be at for 9:00 am. I left Peter in charge of getting the girls up and ready for the babysitter and dropping them off. Last night I made sure that I packed the diaper bag, laid out their clothes, made their lunches, wrote out directions. I even put the diaper bag in my car and put the directions on the front seat for him.
I woke Peter up at 7:15, not extremely early, to make sure he would get up in time to get himself ready as well as the girls and be at Ms. Jil's by 9:00 am. I knew he wasn't going to get up right at that time, and if you read his blog, he even admits that he ended up running behind.
Of course, I was worried the whole time during my drive and decided to call him at 8:30, which was about the time he should have been leaving the house. I have a feeling that he exagerrated the truth a little when he said that they were almost ready to go. Typical guy!
I took Peter's car to my appointment and he took mine, which had the carseats in it. I stopped by his office to switch cars at about 11:30; the girls were going to be at Ms. Jil's only til noon. I get in my car and what do I see right on the front seat??? THE DIAPER BAG! With their drinks, lunches, diapers (for Kenz), change of clothes (for Maddy in case of a potty accident).
Needless to say I apologized up and down to Ms. Jil and the other ladies but they all completely understood the whole "husband dropping the kids off" thing.
Wrapping up.
