Ankle Update

My ankle started hurting again for the past couple weeks. I thought maybe I had developed arthritis in it; I heard that can happen. But it was a constant ache and it had swelled a little bit so I made an appointment with the orthopaedist. I went yesterday (I had the girls with me). They took me in for an x-ray, and since the girls couldn't go in with me the doctor stayed and entertained them - wasn't that nice? There was no broken bone, but she gave me another cortisone injection - OUCH! The girls' reactions were funny. If you remember my post about my last injection, you'll understand. Maddy put her hands over her ears and Kenzie didn't know what to think. I knew what to expect this time but it still hurt like hell!
She also thought I should wear one of those aircast things (I call it a moonboot) just so I can't do any damage.
This is going to be fun... traveling in an airport and airplane with two toddlers and an aircast. *sighs stressfully*

You poor girl. I'll pray for healing and for your spirits to be lifted as well as for the extra energy you'll need if you indeed do need to wear that boot.

Airport? Are you coming our way??

Yes, we'll be there Mar 24 - April 1 (Peter will be there only for the weekend though). We will definitely get together.

Great! I am gone that weekend on a women's retreat, but let me know a day that week that you could come over for a playdate (or I could meet you somewhere if you preferred)... Meg said she'd like to come over the same day, so let me know if Wednesday of that week works for you (and if not, pick a day other than Tuesday and we can take it from there)...
